California company cites success with smoking cessation through laser treatments

Nine out of 10 clients who have been treated at Freedom Laser Therapy's Santa Monica Clinic are declaring they have quit smoking after a 30-minute laser treatment session. Freedom Laser Therapy's staff has treated over 2,000 smokers since January 2004.

Freedom uses a low-level laser to stimulate energy points on the hands, face, and ears which are associated with nicotine addiction. During this relaxing treatment the client watches a 30-minute video which deals with the psychological aspects of their nicotine addiction, included with the treatment is a 10-day vitamin detoxification regimen.
