Allied Healthcare's drop in fourth quarter net income drags down 2006 results

Allied Healthcare Products, Inc., (AHPI) reported that its net income fell about 58% to $629,000, or 8 cents per share, in the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2006, versus $1.5 million, or 19 cents per share, in the fourth quarter of 2005.

For the year, net income declined about 30% to $1.6 million, or 21 cents per share, compared to $2.3 million, or 30 cents per share, for fiscal 2005.

Although sales for the quarter increased slightly, to about $14.5 million from $14.2 million the previous year, orders for the fourth quarter of 2006 slipped by about 2.6% compared to the 2005 period.
