Sciele and Addrenex Announce NDA Submission of CloniBID to Treat Hypertension

Sciele Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCRX) and Addrenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that Addrenex has submitted a 505(b)(2) New Drug Application (NDA) to the Federal Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for CloniBID for the treatment of hypertension. Upon FDA approval, Sciele expects to launch this product in the first half of 2009. In June 2007, the Company licensed CloniBID and Clonicel from Addrenex Pharmaceuticals; CloniBID for the treatment of hypertension and Clonicel for the treatment of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
