Medivation's Dimebon(TM) Stabilizes Behavioral Symptoms in Alzheimer's Disease Patients, Resulting in Reduced Caregiver Distress

Medivation, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDVN) announced that clinical results from its first pivotal trial of Dimebon(TM) showed that behavioral symptoms were stabilized in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD) over a one-year period, resulting in decreased caregiver distress. Benefits of Dimebon were seen across most behavioral symptoms and were most prominent in the symptoms of depression, apathy, hallucinations, irritability and motor disturbance (i.e., engaging in repetitive activities, such as pacing around the house).
