Sagent Pharmaceuticals Launches Cefepime for Injection, USP

Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately-held specialty pharmaceutical company, announced that it has launched Cefepime for injection, USP, a broad spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Sagent's Cefepime for injection will be available in 1g and 2g single dose vials. According to IMS data, sales of Cefepime in the United States in 2006 were approximately $167 million.
