AARP Legacy Award Celebrates Seaford High School for Innovation in Education

In celebration of AARP's 50th Anniversary and to recognize the outstanding educational achievements in public high schools throughout the nation, AARP announced the winners of The Ethel Percy Andrus Legacy Awards. AARP has donated more than $1 million nationally to support educational programs which have demonstrated a commitment to connect generations and foster greater civic engagement among students and their communities. In Delaware, the 2008 award is presented to Seaford High School in Sussex County for its Advanced Placement Incentive Program, which has enhanced student achievement and contributed to an improved environment for the students, school and community....
