Abercrombie & Fitch Reports May Net Sales Increase 8%

Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) reported net sales of $233.1 million for the four-week period ended May 31, 2008, an 8% increase over net sales of $215.0 million for the four-week period ended June 2, 2007. May comparable store sales decreased 1%. Total Company direct-to-consumer net sales increased 35% to $17.3 million for the four-week period ended May 31, 2008, compared to the four-week period ended June 2, 2007. Year-to-date, the Company reported a net sales increase of 8% to $1.033 billion from $957.4 million last year. Comparable store sales decreased 3% for the year-to-date period.
