Abercrombie & Fitch Reports June Net Sales Increase 6%

Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) reported net sales of $309.7 million for the five-week period ended July 5, 2008, a 6% increase over net sales of $293.2 million for the five-week period ended July 7, 2007. June comparable store sales decreased 3%. Total Company direct-to-consumer net sales increased 21% to $20.3 million for the five-week period ended July 5, 2008, compared to the five-week period ended July 7, 2007. Year-to-date, the Company reported a net sales increase of 7% to $1.343 billion from $1.251 billion last year. Comparable store sales decreased 3% for the year-to-date period.
