An aggressive marketing campaign for a new nutritional acne product questions accepted wisdom about the connection between diet and acne. Frutels, the New York-based company responsible for this new product, claims the unthinkable: eating their chocolate nutraceutical will clear up your skin. The company says that chocolate is merely the delivery vehicle for their nutritional formula, which they claim "supports the body against the internal causes of acne -- hormones, diet and stress."
