Ethical Fundraising Targeted for Debate at Upcoming IUPA Police Union Convention



August 22nd, 2008

2 Cents, a Florida-based citizen group aimed at highlighting poor telemarketing practices, voiced support for a resolution that will be introduced at the national convention of the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA) on August 6-9 in Orlando, Florida. The Resolution on Ethical Fundraising will request that IUPA comply with the standards set forth by the Association of Professional Fundraisers. Currently, only 1.2% of the money raised through telemarketing by IUPA goes to actual charitable causes.
