Accelr8 Announces Independent Study Presentations and New Rapid ESBL Test

Accelr8 Technology Corporation (Amex: AXK) announced that the company and its research collaborators have completed two studies that characterize technical advances for its BACcel(TM) rapid diagnostic system. The system is being developed to rapidly identify bacteria and their antibiotic resistance mechanisms. Targeted organisms include multi-drug resistant organisms or so-called "superbugs" such as MRSA, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, and Klebsiella. Investigators at the Denver Health Medical Center conducted one of the studies.
