Acorn Announces Extension of Share Repurchase Program

Acorn International, Inc. (NYSE:ATV) ("Acorn", or the "Company"), a leading integrated multi- platform marketing company in China engaged in developing, promoting and selling consumer products and services, announced that its board of directors (the "Board"), has approved the extension, until May 31, 2009, of its share repurchase program previously authorized in December 2007.
