President-elect Barack Obama has nominated Lisa P. Jackson, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager(R) (CHMM(R)), for the top post at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Jackson most recently served as the commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection where she managed a staff of 3,400 professionals and programs to protect, sustain and enhance the state's water, air and land resources.
