Launch of New 'Independent Aging' Company Will Address the Needs of the Growing Senior Population

The launch of a new company aimed at promoting and supporting a home-centered approach to independent aging was announced. Univita Health is introducing new programs and innovating existing services to help individuals maintain independence at home as they age. "Due to falling birthrates and increased life expectancy, the ratio of people over age 65 to those of working age is rising rapidly," said L. Ben Lytle, Chairman of Univita. "This population shift presents enormous challenges in how to provide and pay for the health care of an older population by a smaller workforce. The only solution is to deliver care to seniors in their homes with fewer professionals." ...
