Akorn Announces Management Change

Akorn, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKRX) announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Arthur Przybyl, is leaving the company and that, pending selection of a new President and Chief Executive Officer, a committee of three board members will oversee operations of the Company and identify Mr. Przybyl’s replacement. The committee consists of Dr. John Kapoor (Chairman of the Board of Directors) and directors Randall Wall and Jerry Ellis. Dr. Kapoor, Akorn’s Chairman of the Board stated, “Our current management team will execute the strategy for the company to achieve continued growth and success.
