Abt Associates announced that Ricky Takai, Ph.D., has joined the company as Principal Associate. After a brief orientation to the firm, Dr. Takai will become the leader of the company's education work in September 2009. Dr. Takai brings his more than 20 years experience in the design and management of federal evaluation studies in the field of education to the company. Most recently, Dr. Takai served as Associate Commissioner in the National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance, Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education.
