Better Informed Doctors to Provide Quality Medical Care for Alabama Medicaid Recipients

The Alabama Medicaid Agency is one step closer to transforming the delivery of care for its recipients, thanks to the development of an electronic health information exchange and clinical support tool that links Medicaid, state health agencies, providers and private payers. Based on technology developed for Alabama Medicaid by Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), the system – known as QTool – is a major component of the state’s “Together for Quality” initiative.
