Agnico-Eagle provides notice of release of first quarter 2009 results and Annual General Meeting

Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited ("Agnico" or the "Company") announced that it will release its first quarter 2009 results on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, after normal trading hours. Additionally, the Company will host its Annual and Special General Meeting ("AGM") the next day in Toronto. The AGM will begin on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 11:00am (EST). The meeting will be held at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel, Vanity Ballroom located at 37 King Street East, Toronto, Canada.
