AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the US’ largest non-profit HIV/AIDS organization which currently provides medical care and/or services to more than 98,000 individuals in 21 countries worldwide in the US, Africa, Latin America/Caribbean and Asia, today lauded the respected British medical journal, ‘The Lancet,’ for its strongly-worded editorial criticizing Pope Benedict XVI for his public remarks early last week suggesting that condoms are fueling the spread of AIDS in Africa.
