Air Methods Reports 1Q2009 Results and 2Q2009 Update

Air Methods Corporation (NASDAQ: AIRM), the largest air medical transportation company in the world, reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2009 and provided an update on April 2009 flight volumes. For the quarter, revenue increased 5.6% to $124.7 million from $118.1 million in the prior-year quarter. Net income for the first quarter of 2009 was $5.0 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, compared with net income of $2.3 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2008.
