A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ:APWR) ("A-Power" or "the Company"), a leading provider of distributed power generation ("DG") systems in China and a fast-growing manufacturer of wind turbines, announced it has signed a contract with Sanmenxia New Energy Bio-Electricity Co., Ltd. to build electricity-generation systems using biomass as fuel in Henan Province of China. Pursuant to the contract, A-Power will be in charge of the overall design, the construction, and the equipment procurement, installation and testing of the biomass DG plant in Yinchi County, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province.
