Atherotech Taps Canyons Medical Center Director, Lipidologist as Chief Medical Officer

Michael Cobble, M.D., director of Canyons Medical Center in Sandy, Utah, has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Atherotech, Inc.

Cobble is a primary care physician, board-certified lipidologist and certified hypertension specialist. His responsibilities at the Birmingham-based cardiodiagnostic company will include educating the public and health care professionals about Atherotech's line of cardiometabolic tests. He'll also be responsible for furthering understanding and acceptance of the VAP (Vertical Auto Profile) Cholesterol Test in advanced lipid testing.
