Detroit Physician Herbert C. Smitherman, Jr., M.D., Awarded $25,000 in J.H. Kanter Prize Competition

The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) and the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan (WCMS) congratulate their candidate in the J.H. Kanter Prize competition, Herbert C. Smitherman, Jr., M.D., who will receive a runner-up award of $25,000 for his work in improving access to care and addressing disparities among the underserved in Detroit.
