AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile Explore the Carrier's Role In 'Open' At the Open Mobile Summit

As Internet and wireless worlds collide, the move to an open mobile ecosystem now seems inevitable. 2009 has seen huge strides in open OS, demonstrated success in the app store model, and most recently, the FCC making a clear commitment to uphold the principles of an open mobile Internet.

Moreover, U.S. carriers have recognized the need to adjust and redefine their role in this rapidly evolving ecosystem - a signal that the open mobile movement has become mainstream.
