Highmark decreases premiums, adds benefits

Many members who purchase SecurityBlue, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield's Medicare HMO or FreedomBlue, its Medicare PPO, directly from the company will pay less for health insurance in 2005, as Highmark was able to decrease premiums or add benefits as the result of increased federal government payments to health plans.

SecurityBlue premium decreases will range from $50 to $300 annually. FreedomBlue decreases will range from $12 to $156 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on the product and where the member lives.
