Investigators in the United States and People's Republic of China have published new HIV/AIDS data. Study 1: A subtype C in-frame gagpol fusion gene vaccine shows promise against HIV/AIDS. Investigators in the United States note, "The worldwide HIV-1 vaccine research endeavor is focused increasingly on subtype C, which is now the predominant strain of the present HIV/AIDS epidemic."
