Verispan reports pharmaceutical managed care sales forces changing after Medicare Part D

Thirty-eight percent of pharmaceutical account personnel surveyed in Verispan's new 2006 report, "Strategic Advantage: A Competitive View of Managed Care and Long-Term Care Sales Forces," said their company has already made or is currently making changes to its managed care sales forces as a result of Medicare Part D. Changes include managed care sales force expansions and realignments. One managed care account representative said his company, GlaxoSmithKline, "added a Medicare support division that will provide updates and formulary charts on Medicare Part D to the field."
