Increased salivary cortisol associated with poorer mental status and higher HIV RNA

Increased salivary cortisol levels are associated with poorer mental status and higher viral loads in patients with HIV/AIDS. According to a recently published study in the Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, "Fatigue is one of the most prevalent and troubling symptoms suffered by people with HIV infection.
