Percutaneous coronary intervention-associated bleeding risk is correlated with increased age

Among non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTEACS) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) patients treated with eptifibatide, increased age was a significant correlate of bleeding events and appeared to explain the association between low creatinine clearance and bleeding.
