Research from Harvard University reveals new findings on arthritis risk factors

Investigators publish new data in the report "Immunosuppressive medications and hospitalization for cardiovascular events in patients with rheumatoid arthritis." According to a study from the United States, "The risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) is increased in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), most likely because of increased systemic inflammation. Prior research suggests that immunosuppressive medications may reduce the risk of CVD among RA patients."
