IPC-The Hospitalist Company expands practice into Tampa, Florida

IPC-The Hospitalist Company has expanded its practice to Tampa, Florida, and has begun seeing patients at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital in nearby Tarpon Springs. IPC employs more than 300 physicians in 15 metropolitan markets across the country. Last year these physicians collectively had more than 1 million patient encounters. Executive Director Larry Hanan stated, "Hospitalists have become the true drivers of inpatient care and have been shown to increase quality while reducing healthcare costs.
