Advocate Health Care to use speech recognition technology

Physicians at Advocate Health Care have begun to use PowerScribe, speech recognition technology from Dictaphone that dramatically reduces both report turnaround times and transcription costs.

When fully deployed, approximately 250 radiologists and cardiologists will be using the technology, which puts physicians in control of their documentation through self-completion of speech-recognized dictation.
