Investigators at University of Amsterdam, Center of Infection and Immunity Amsterdam release new data on bacterial meningitis epidemiology

New research, "Hyponatraemia in adults with community-acquired bacterial meningitis," is the subject of a report. According to a study from Netherlands, "Hyponatraemia in adults with bacterial meningitis has been described as a common complication, but its true prevalence and clinical importance are unknown. To investigate the prevalence, clinical characteristics and consequences of hyponatraemia in bacterial meningitis in adults."
