New thrombosis risk factors findings from Leiden University, Department of Clinical Epidemiology published

A report, 'Alcohol consumption is associated with a decreased risk of venous thrombosis,' is newly published data in Thrombosis and Haemostasis. "Moderate alcohol consumption is associated with lower levels of several coagulation factors. It is an established protective factor for cardiovascular disease; however, the effect on venous thrombosis is unknown," researchers in Leiden, Netherlands report.
