Swine flu parties or intentionally catching H1N1 a very bad idea, says UAB expert

The idea is too risky and acting on it could compromise public health - yet talk continues of "swine-flu parties," where people intentionally mix with friends or others infected with H1N1 influenza.

While people who do this think getting the flu early will serve as more protection from it in the long run, all they're really doing is endangering themselves and others, says the doctor who runs the University of Alabama at Birmingham's (UAB) Student Health Service.
