Swiss pharmaceutical group announces European drug submission for palonosetron

Helsinn Healthcare, SA, a privately owned Swiss pharmaceutical group, announced the submission of their European drug application for palonosetron through the centralized procedure that will lead to the drug approval in all European Union countries. "Palonosetron is one of the most important novelties reported in the antiemetic field in the last 10 years," said Matti Aapro, MD, oncologist at the Clinique de Genolier, near Geneva, Switzerland.
