Arizona provider earns health plan accreditation from URAC

Health Net of Arizona Inc. announced on October 2, 2003, that it has been awarded Health Plan Accreditation from URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, established to set national quality standards for the healthcare industry. Health Net is the first health plan in Arizona to receive URAC's Health Plan Accreditation - a comprehensive assessment of health plan performance in network management, quality management and improvement, utilization management, provider credentialing, and member protection, as opposed to accreditation of one area of plan operations, such as Utilization Management or Case Management.
