Titanium coated polymers do not improve biocompatibility

Polymers coated with titaniumcarboxonitride do not improve biocompatibility in vivo, researchers say.

"The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of titanium-coated polymers on the inflammatory response and remodeling of connective tissue during wound-heating processes," reported K. Lehle ad colleagues in the journal Biomaterials.
