Patients were treated for such ailments as allergies, skin problems and colds over the course of 4 hours in the village just across the Euphrates River from the military Camp Babylon, said Malgorzata Kaczorowska, a doctor with the Polish-led force.
"Healthcare is very poor here, chiefly in rural areas where there are no doctors," Kaczorowska said. It is "underfinanced (and) lacks modern equipment."
The nearest doctor is in the city of Hillah, some 5 kilometers (3 miles) away....
