Contract awarded for safety IV catheter device

B. Braun announced that Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the healthcare group purchasing unit of Premier, Inc., has awarded it a multi-source agreement that includes B. Braun's line of Introcan Safety IV Catheters.

These safety catheters are designed with innovative passive-safety features to actively help minimize accidental needle-stick injury. This contract follows a 5-year agreement that was effective in February 2004, which encompasses all major B. Braun Medical infusion products. The additional 3-year contract for Introcan Safety IV Catheter is effective October 1, 2004.
