Recent studies add new data to angiology research

June 13th, 2005

Investigators in the United States have published new angiology data.

Study 1: Neurotrophins recruit and mobilize cells to enhance vessel formation.

"The neurotrophin brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is required for the maintenance of cardiac vessel wall stability during embryonic development through direct angiogenic actions on endothelial cells expressing the tropomysin receptor kinase B (TrkB).
