Researchers publish new studies and findings in the area of cardiology

New findings from the United States describe advances in cardiology. Study 1: Researchers have investigated antibiotic treatment of Chlamydia pneumoniae after acute coronary syndrome. According to published research from the United States, "Chlamydia pneumoniae has been found within atherosclerotic plaques, and elevated titers of antibody to this organism have been linked to a higher risk of coronary events. Pilot studies have suggested that antibiotic treatment may reduce the risk of cardiovascular events." C.P.
