Researchers with the HealthPartners Research Foundation, Minneapolis, analyzed data from 6,000 patients with depression receiving care from a large multispecialty medical group.
They found that care is improved when patients have better access to their physician. Furthermore, personal physician continuity appeared to be the mechanism for this improvement in care.
