Some legislators upset two nurses not reinstated

The Arkansas state Health Department's decision not to reinstate two nurses to their jobs in public health units has some legislators concerned.

The joint Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee asked the Health Department to reinstate Peggy Rockenhaus and Susie Conyers to their original jobs after they were laid off, along with other employees, because of budget cuts.

Rockenhaus worked at the Booneville health unit in Logan County. Conyers split her time among several health units in northern Arkansas around Marion County.
