EDS "is a rare, variably inherited disorder affecting connective tissue," vascular surgeons in Italy explained. "Patients with EDS often develop aneurysms of the thoracic and abdominal aorta as well as the visceral arteries."
In the journal International Angiology, R. Casana and coauthors at the University of Milan described their "experience with an elective endovascular exclusion of an hepatic artery aneurysm in a 26-year-old female patient with EDS type IV."
