Drug discovery deal with Metabolex extended

Metabolex, Inc., announced an extension of its multi-year research collaboration with Astellas Pharma, Inc., (formerly Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.,) to validate novel drug targets identified through Metabolex's discovery program with the goal of advancing several candidate compounds into development for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
