Congressman Shimkus Receives 2007 APTA Public Service Award

In honor of his commitment to physical therapy, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) presented US Rep John Shimkus (R-IL) with the 2007 APTA Public Service Award on Tuesday, May 22. The award was presented during APTA's Advocacy Academy and PT Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

"I am proud to work with APTA for the benefit of our nation's health care patients and providers," said Rep. Shimkus of Illinois's 19th District. "I am honored to be receiving this award."
