Congressman John Dingell and SEIU Host Town Hall Meeting Children's Healthcare

U.S. Congressman John Dingell, D-MI, and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) brought together healthcare workers, families and community advocates on Monday, June 4, 2007 to support increased funding for the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which could provide coverage to millions of uninsured children.

Dozens of home health care workers, nursing home employees and health care advocates joined the 2-hour discussion held at the Ypsilanti Head Start office, located at 1661 Leforge Road.
