LFS Carolinas Receives Citizenship Grant

Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas (LFS Carolinas) recently received a grant in the amount of $100,000 from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

The grant will allow the LFS Immigration Services Program to expand its capacity to provide citizenship assistance to Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) including former refugees, asylees, individuals over the age of 65 and permanent residents who obtained their status through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and through "T" visas (designed to protect victims of human trafficking) or "U" visas (for victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are willing to assist in the...
