Lupus group announces $6.7M in research grants

The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) announced the awarding of more than $6.7 million in grants to support 12 scientists conducting medical research to advance the understanding and treatment of lupus.

Eight of the awardees are first-time recipients and four received renewals of existing ALR grants. In total, ALR is currently funding 21 researchers from across the country and abroad. The ALR funds innovative lupus research in 2-year intervals.
